Packing
What to pack for Goa — a short list
Goa is warm most of the year and wet in the monsoon. Pack for heat, a sudden shower, and whatever you actually plan to do — swim, ride, or sit on a verandah. We will not sell you a branded kit from this page.
Clothes
Light cotton or linen works for most days. Evenings inland can feel cooler after rain, not cold. One layer you do not mind getting dusty is more useful than a formal outfit.
If you will visit a church or temple, keep shoulders and knees covered for that hour. Beachwear stays at the beach.
Rain and sun
From roughly June to September a compact rain layer and dry bag for the phone earn their space. The rest of the year a hat and shade matter more than a heavy coat.
Reef-safe sunscreen if you swim. We do not name brands or SPFs here — use what you already trust.
If you will ride
A copy of your driving licence (and ID) for hire. Closed shoes if you take a bike; a helmet should come with the vehicle — ask to see it before you leave.
We can look at hire for your dates. We will not invent a daily rate on this page.
Leave at home
Valuables you would grieve on a scooter. A big jewellery day is a beach-town risk we will not dress up as romance.
When to go
Monsoon packing is about staying dry between houses. Peak winter packing is about sun and a busier coast. Send dates if you want us to sanity-check a plan, not a shopping list.
