Arrival

Getting to Goa — airports, trains, road

Getting in is straightforward. Getting the airport or station wrong is how a late night turns into a two-hour drive. We can hold a pickup when you send a flight or train number — we will not invent a fare on this page.

Airports

Manohar International Airport at Mopa uses the code GOX. It sits in North Goa and is the newer field.

Dabolim Airport near Vasco uses the code GOI. It is the older field, closer to central and much of South Goa than Mopa is.

Say which code is on your ticket. A north-village stay from Dabolim is a different evening from Palolem from Mopa.

Trains

The Konkan Railway is the usual rail approach. Common passenger stops in Goa are Thivim (north), Karmali (near Old Goa / Panaji), and Madgaon (Margao, useful for the south).

Which station you want depends on the house, not on a generic “Goa” pin. Send the train name if you want a pickup.

Road

NH66 is the coastal highway through the state. From Maharashtra or Karnataka it is a real drive, not a hop — build time in season and in rain.

We do not publish hour estimates here. Traffic and monsoon water on the road change the day.

When to go

Winter holiday weeks fill both airports. Monsoon weeks make a pre-booked car wiser than a late bike from arrivals.
